Fight Gone Bad 5 is coming on September 25th.  We're trying to raise as much for the Wounded Warrior Project and Lance Armstrong Foundations, please help us anyway that you can.  If you check out the website www.fgb5.org it will prompt you to register as part of an existing team, choose the CrossFit NRG team, and it will ask you to set up a donation page.  If you raise $150 CrossFit will send you your very own FGB t-shirt.  We will have registration on event day, if you wait until event day however, we may have a bit of a traffic gym and it could delay our start time by a bit.  Right now we're planning on a 10am start.  We're working on having as many affiliates come down to NRG as possible, so we need to represent!  If you're new to CrossFit and have never done FGB, you're in for a real treat, if you've done it before, now is the time to set a new PR.  Lets get after it!

Also, some of you may know that CrossFit NRG completed the Red Rock Relay this previous weekend, during the middle of it, I swore that I would never do it again, but of course, as soon as it was over, I immediately forgot the pain, the lack of sleep, and all the smells coming out of everyone and I wanted to do it again.  We are now calling forward all badasses who want to represent NRG next year.  We're looking for an all men's team (12) and an all women's team (12), for those who want to be really brave, we're also going to put an ultra team together (6 people).  Spots for the ultra are filling up, so if you want in, let us know.  Each team will need a captain who is reliable, responsible for setting up vans, logistics, and making sure that everyone knows their responsibilities for the event.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns let us know!  it is an experience that you'll not soon forget.  good times, good exercise, and great memories are in store!

Okay. I just saw the first RRR pic that someone posted to our media page on this site.

Holy hell, Mary and Jay are friggin cute as heaven itself!

(you too Dave)

Everyone who has RRR pics, could you please get them to me. I will put them together into CDs for you all, and if time permits, maybe make a montage vid. Just bring a cd or thumb drive to nrg and put it somewhere I can find it.

Thanks all.

Can you imagine how cool that moment would be when our Ultra Team passed the other team(s). (sometime in the afternoon I’d guess, if we started early and you all started later in the day).

That would be awesome.

I’m very confused about who’s writing what….but here’s my comment:

I would be happy to be team captain for the women’s team. But is there a specific reason that we want it to be split by gender? I kinda like co-ed teams (despite the smells).

If there is a specific reason for have a mens and a womens team, then I’lm cool. But if not, I vote for co-ed.

And I’d be happy to be team captain of one of them.

How cool that we would have an elite team…you guys will kick ass.

James are you talking about the Ragnar in June or the red rock? If it’s Ragnar I’m in but if it’s red rock maybe, maybe not. I’ll be putting in my name for lottery into the wasatch 100 and if I get in won’t be able to do red rock.

I will volunteer for the women’s team. I will start training now. That’s my commitment. There…it’s in writing.

So the Ultra team is full, James, Dave, Bryce, Cody, Mary and Jay all need to have their sanity checked

Tor has volunteered for the mens team captain.
Jane is being volunteered as the womens team captain. We only need 11 more girls, 11 more guys to complete the teams.

Dave, how are you going to run the red rock relay and the wasatch 100 at the same time? It seems like that might be difficult to pull off.
