Josh Hanagarne - The Big Strong Bookworm
Josh Hanagarne became an RKC in June of 2009 to celebrate his victory over a bizarre neurological disorder. For the last 10 years, he has had very little control over his body. An extreme case of Tourette's Syndrome causes him to scream and hit himself involuntarily, often making it impossible to even leave his house. When he picked up his first kettlebell in 2007, he knew he had found a way to take his life back. His passion for kettlebells eventually led him to an obsession with grip strength and old time strongman training.
To his knowledge, he is the only nerdy librarian who can tear a deck of cards in half and bend nails with his hands. The constant discomfort and pain of Tourette's are now insignificant compared to his odd hobbies. Nothing is scary after ten minutes of heavy kettlebell snatches.
Josh believes that furious, focused, goal-centered strength training makes the good things in life better, and the bad things bearable. He rejects misery and has dedicated his life to breaking its back and stomping on it when it tries to crawl away.
He can also recommend books to you until you'll beg for mercy. You can visit Josh at his award-winning blog, World’s Strongest Librarian and at The Strength Rules, where he writes about Strength training of all kinds.

Kelly John
Kelly has been working with kettlebells since 2005. Mere weeks after she graduated high school she became the youngest RKC Certified woman in America. She was also an All-State Track Athlete, and continues to coach the Discus and the John Powell Discus Camp every year.
When she’s not swinging a kettlebell, she is teaching second graders at a local charter school. When her brain needs a break from the incessant screaming and nagging working with children brings, it’s nice to work with like-minded adults and make them want to throw up (sometimes..).
