Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 8:27PM Whatever happened to Kettlebell Wednesday? I tell you what happened, CrossFit has spread across the entire world and it is on fire. Every day we could get lost with all the new exciting, movements combinations, and new programs. There are literally thousands of workouts being created every day. It is fun to see the next exciting thing just around the corner. Whenever I find myself getting wrapped up in it, I try and pull back the rains and stick to the basics. Recently I read an article about the foundations vs the basics. What are basics? I like the basics defined as, they can't be simplified, Squats are squats, presses are presses, Deadlifts are deadlifts. You know, the basics. Then what are the fundamentals? Let's say for now these are the foundations that hold up your basics, weight in the heels, chest up, lumbar curve, focused mentality. I have asked this question before, and I ask it again. If CrossFit were a martial art, what belt would you hold. How well do you know the basics? How founded are your foundations?

Yey! I approve of this workout. Even if it's not Wednesday yet. Hooray for Kettlebells!
I'd be a Gold belt, the belt would be made of Gold.
I'd have a belt of scalps from dead Nazis.
